The Knightware studios model search.

Thank you for your interest in modeling for Knightware Studios.

  • About Knightware Studios

Knightware studios is in the process of being built into a new photographic art studio for fantasy art, incorporating:
Fantasy
Horror
Sci-fi
Glamour and
Surrealistic images for our clients.

At the moment we (me) are a simple studio with very little infrastructure for starters there is no studio, (just the artist, his camera, and Photoshop).

  • The Artist

The artist, David Knight, 34, painter and illustrator for over 15 years before moving into the digital photography, (but denies any claim of knowing anything about it), apart from angles and getting enough lighting and making sure everything is in the frame. What he does know that after spending the last 3 years teaching himself photoshop that what hecan do with it once he has the image on the computer.see www.knightwarestudios.com  He spent the last year studying web design in preparation for the Knightware studios campaign. He took a break during that time so Go to http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?id=1028920149.  to see his latest work done in the last few weeks       That's Knightwares Studios.

  • What the studio requires

We require, professional, semi-professional, or serious amateur models to either send images for us to work on, or to do a specific shoot (If in Adelaide) In exchange for a CDR of the images produced.
Printing of images can be arranged if the model is in Adelaide. To give you an idea of the value of the images, our product sells at a starting price of around $200 for 1 image, printed and framed for A4, and $400 for A3. This is TFP work (trade for prints), we are a new business and at this stage cannot afford to pay our models in cash, so we will help build or diversify your portfolio, and provide links and model information on our websites.

  • What type of model are we looking for ?

We are not looking for any specific type. That being said, these are the qualities we are looking for. Must know how to pose, must be comfortable in front of a camera, and must be able to understand the look we are trying to achieve. We are not looking for just super beautiful models, since we are trying to attract regular people to this service, but attractiveness, a quirky look and uniqueness are attributes we are after, not perfection. So if you’re not a Jennifer Hawkins we still want to hear from you!

So; do you have what we need? Still interested?
Then send us another email, a couple of preview images, and we will talk.

  • About the free promotion

We are only providing free work to people who provide quality images to for us to work with, or who are willing to model (live) for us. We will not work on happy snaps, wedding photos, or really amateur photos; this is a promotion for Knightware studios to build promotional material so only the best will be accepted as we are going to produce A grade material
(I can work with B grade tops, I can fix things with photoshop but there are still lots I cant)....in turn providing you with A grade portfolio pieces or art works.

  • What type of image we need

If you are going to send me images through the email, they have to be about 1mb minimum, and prefer previews to be sent first so to save on time and download costs. Images should be crisp, well lit, upper body shots without hair being cropped off the top and without shoulders cropped at the side, full body shots with all hands and feet in the picture.

For people who wants faerie pictures, ears should be visible, and models should be dressed appropriately for the final image…example, no denim jeans and flannelette shirts, preferably a skirt and a thin strapped blouse, or bikini. Definitely no hats and sunglasses. or if you want to be a vampire, dress approprately for that, black, gothic, Prefer no make up, we do all that

Action shots are good, and more natural images where the model is not looking at the camera are favored, (though a mix is also good). We also prefer to not have anything obscuring the model, we prefer to do the obscuring ourselves. Photos from photographers who use creative cropping can rarely be used.
